Translate Offline: French Pro App Reviews

The audio translation plays back EXTREMELY fast (think Alvin and the chipmunks) making this app almost useless. Dont waste your time or money.

WORST TRANSLATION IN THIS APP

The translations are laughable in both directions. In particular, the English translations read like awkwardly-written stereo instructions. Do not buy this app!

Good and useful French translator application, you can use offline mode, good work , thanks :)...

I love the offline functions, but you might have to wait a few seconds for some translations.

No real complaints, although a text-to-speech function would make it easier to pronounce what Im reading.

It often cant even make the translation. For example, if you type a word in English, it will show the same word in English under the French translation, and vice versa. And other times, its translation is wrong (I know enough French to know). It was just barely functional enough to be useful on a couple occasions, but I probably could have done just as well without it. In short, dont get this app!

This app works great for me. The translations were accurate for me. Offline works excellent as well and important for me.

This is an A+ app in my book. Not sure about previous reviewers my translations have been great for a translator software.

You kindda have to know how the French language works to get the phrazing just so for a good translation. Even then it seems to pick alphabeticaly from a list of possible options rather than give the most commonly used (I would like = Jai ressemble). Translating French business language is a total trip.

The voice is so rapid it is unintelligible and therefore worthless. There doesnt appear to be any setting to alleviate this problem. Without this adjustment the voice aspect is Just a waste. Too bad.

Didnt work. Took photo of menu in French - it took 2 minutes to "translate". When it did, talked about warfare & millimeters??? I want a refund. Shame. I wanted it to work.

Completely useless as it translates to garbage characters..... Just flushed 2.99 down the drain....

It couldnt translate any photos I took of French. It doesnt have any pronunciation help (verbal or written) and it cant even translate simple things like y a from French to English. It was an absolute waste of money, time, and effort on my part. I gave it a star because that was the only way to place this review. It wasnt even worth a stupid electronic gold star.

No user instructions. Still looking for voice feature.

French to English translation very inaccurate. Waste of time and money

The photo option is great for helping my son study for French but the computer voice is awful! And the french to English translation is horrible and incorrect for conversational. Find another app.

I used this on a job I had to do in Paris and it worked really well. The OCR is really cool.
